Amazon puts their popular 4k Fire TV and Fire TV Stick on sale

Besides selling basically everything, Amazon has also been building up their reputation as a budget friendly tech company in recent years with the Echo Dot and tablet lineup. Not only are these products priced competitively, but Amazon is constantly slashing the prices for temporary sales in order to clear out inventory or gain market share

The Fire TV Stick and new Fire 4k TV are no different. Designed to plug into the HDMI port on your TV, these small devices make it easy to stream content from Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime Video on your large screen as well as access a variety of different apps which the Fire TV appstore offers. With the addition of Alexa, controlling content has never been easier — just say what you want to watch and BOOM! there it is.

Besides being far cheaper than the Apple TV (both 4k and non-4k models), in our testing Alexa is a lot more intuitive and helpful to use than Siri. Google and Roku both offer similar streaming sticks and 4K versions, but the Amazon Fire TVs are cheaper even when not on sale.

How Much On Sale?

Usually retailing for $39.99, the Amazon Fire TV Stick has dropped down to $30 and even $25 before, but these are always quick sales (the $24.99 sale lasted less than 3 days). The higher end 4k Fire TV usually goes for $69.99, but is now available for only $49 — a price that has only been seen for a few days around Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day.

With that in mind, if you have been considering upgrading your home entertainment setup at all, now would definitely be the time to do so, especially if you are an Amazon Prime member. There’s no telling how long Amazon will keep the sale going, so act quick.
