Preorders for the new Samsung Galaxy S9 started yesterday. While most phones are cheaper through the carrier than buying factory unlocked, many tech blogs were quick to notice that this was not the case for the S9 and S9 Plus. AT&T, Sprint, & Verizon are all selling the new S9 and S9 Plus for between $70-$80 more than through places like Samsung, Best Buy and Amazon.
Besides saving you money (in this case), buying a factory unlocked phone offers the unique ability to choose your network. Most people only think of the 4 main cell phone carriers when in fact there are dozens of other carriers offering more affordable plans. Many of these plans even include unlimited data on top of unlimited talk and text. If you don’t need all that data, you can save even more by only opting for 5 or 10GB data plans.
To get the full scoop on how to save the most money on your new Galaxy S9 and cellphone plan, check out the video below by my Youtuber friend Stetson Doggett. He’s an expert when it comes to saving you money on your cellphone plan and his videos are also very entertaining to watch.
Hope that Stetson’s video helped save you some money. If you’re interested in finding out more about cell phone plans have a look at some of the other videos on his channel.
