The Consumer Electronics Show (aka CES) has once again brought with it a flurry of new smartphones, cameras, TVs, drones, laptops, smarthome devices and everything in between.
A lot of the tech on display will never make it into consumers’ hands but there is a substantial amount that is also available within the next few months.
While this isn’t *everything* new from CES 2020 (that list would be practically endless), this is all highlights from the largest tech conference in the world.
Smartphones
OnePlus Concept One
The new OnePlus Concept One phone has made waves at CES 2020 for one reason: the electrochromic glass that makes the sensors appear and disappear when the camera activates.
TCL 10 Pro, 10L & 10 5G
Better known for making really good, affordable TVs, TCL is finally bringing its name to smartphones with the 10 series.
There’s no exact pricing or release date yet for the trio of phones, but TCL says all three will start under $500.
Look for more specifics, like the phone’s camera details, battery capacity, and other internal specs, at Mobile World Congress in late February
Cameras
Insta360 ONE R
Marketed as the world’s first modular action cam, the Insta360 ONE R combines an action camera and 360° camera in a shapeshifting design.
While we’ll have to wait and see just how well footage shot on the ONE R compares to the GoPro 8 & GoPro 8 MAX, the camera is an exciting new option for action camera users.

Canon 1DX Mark III
Featuring 5.5K, 12-bit internal RAW video recording, the Canon 1DX mkIII sets a new standard for DSLR video capabilities.
It introduces the new HEIF image format for better compression as well as the new Digic X processor which is able to shoot off a staggering 1000 JPEG+RAW photos without any buffer.
The new flagship Canon DSLR is aimed squarely at professionals and carries a pro-level price tag of $6500.
Nikon D780
Most of what’s new in the D780, which replaces the five-year-old D750, is derived from Nikon’s mirrorless work.
The D780 uses the same 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor as the mirrorless Z6, and has gained its 273-point phase-detection autofocus in live view, its tracking smarts, effects, and its video capabilities.
The Nikon D780 is expected to ship at the end of January for a body-only price of $2,300; you’ll pay $2,800 for a kit with the AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR lens.
Nikon also used CES 2020 to announce the COOLPIX P950, a budget superzoom camera with 83x zoom, 4K/60fps video, and a 16MP sensor.
Drones
Autel EVO 2
As the world’s first portable 8K drone, the Autel EVO 2 is sure to give industry leader DJI a run for its money.
Available in three variants — the standard 8K camera, a 1-inch sensor Pro, and a dual thermal camera — the EVO 2 has something for everyone.
Additional specs include a 35 min flight time, a 9km video transmission range, and 12 vision sensors for improved obstacle detection (though not on the level of the Skydio 2).
Price and availability are yet to be announced, though sources say expect to see these start shipping the second week of February.
TVs
Samsung Sero TV
With the rise of platforms like TikTok more people are consuming watching vertical videos than ever before.
Samsung looks to jump in on this trend with its new Sero TV which is able to rotate from horizontal to vertical (automatically too if you’re using an Android phone).
LG Rollable TV
This is the second year LG has shown off its rollable screen tech at CES, but it looks like we might finally see it make it from concept to product.
With a rumored $60,000 price tag for the 65″ inch model, don’t expect to be seeing it in many living rooms any time soon.
Computers
Dell Concept Ori & Duet
Last year we got our first look at dual and folding-display devices from Intel, Microsoft, and others.
Now Dell’s unveiled its entries at CES 2020, the Concept Duet and Concept Ori.
The Duet, which is similar to Microsoft’s Surface Neo, is expected to be released by the end of the year.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook
Despite Chromebooks being super popular for their budget-friendly pricing, Samsung’s new Galaxy Chromebook will start at $999.
However, with a 4K AMOLED touch-screen display, a 10th-gen Intel i5 processor, fingerprint sensor, and two USB-C ports the Galaxy Chromebook features specs that backup the premium laptop sticker price.
AMD Rhyzen 4000 Series Processors
The AMD Ryzen 4000 Series processors bring up to 8 cores and 16 threads to ultrathin and gaming laptops, designed to produce responsive and power-efficient devices.
