B&H Photo is offering a sweet deal on the Mavic Pro (Fly More Combo) for today only as part of their daily Deal Zone. Usually $1299, B&H is dropped the price to $949; a $350 saving for those averse to math. This means you can pickup the fly more combo — which features two additional flight batteries, two additional propeller pairs, a battery charging hub, and a shoulder bag to carry the Mavic around in — for $50 less than DJI is currently selling the Mavic Pro for.

Is this a good deal?

Even with the new smaller and lighter Mavic Air, the DJI Mavic Pro remains one of my favorite drones to fly. It has a lot better range and flight time than the Air, plus its slightly bigger size makes it more stable in flight and easier to spot in the sky. While it’s possible that B&H is just dropping the price to clear out some stock before DJI releases the Mavic Pro II, this is still a very good deal — especially if you are looking for a drone ASAP.  The Mavic Pro II will also in all likelihood be significantly more expensive than the current Mavic Pro ($1200-$1400 for just drone and controller), as DJI looks to start cashing in on its 75+% market share of the consumer drone market.
