Amazon Echo (2nd Generation)

The second generation Amazon Echo not only looks better than the original but performs and sounds much better too. It can usually be picked up for $100 but for a limited time you can scoop one up for just $85. That’s not a huge savings, but you can put that towards making your home smarter with a smart plug by TP-Link or Wemo.

Rode VideoMic Pro

Capturing good audio is incredibly important for video, especially when filming live events where you don’t have the chance to record something again. Rode microphones has built a solid reputation for building reliable and well made products for the beginner shooter to online Steven Spielberg. The VideoMic Pro is no exception and is a great way to quickly improve the sound quality of audio your camera records. Usually $229, B&H Photo has it on sale for just $149 today only.

Apple TV (4th Gen/64GB)

The Apple TV might cost more than its Roku and Amazon competitors, but it is a great living accessory if you are deeply invested in Apple’s ecosystem of devices and services. And unless you have a 4k TV, the fourth generation model offers everythings you need and is cheaper than the newer 4k capable version. Best Buy is making it even cheaper now, discounting the 64gb model from $199 to $159 just for today.

Canon 5D Mark III DSLR (Body Only)

The Canon 5D mkIII might be nearing 6 years old, but it still is an incredibly capable DSLR for video, especially if you install the Magic Lantern to enable 4k, HDR and RAW video recording. B&H Photo has dropped the price of the 5d Mark III by $800, bringing it down to $1999 — an amazing price for any full frame camera, especially one by Canon.
