After the successful launch of its HOVERAir branded drones in 2024 with the HoverAir X1, X1 Pro, and X1 Pro MAX — Zero Zero Robotics is bringing back its original V-Copter Falcon design, though this time in “mini” sub-250g format.
Dubbed the V-Copter Falcon Mini, this new drone utilizes the unique two propellor design of the original drone to give it some features which regular four propellor drones can’t match.
These include: greater battery to flight time ratio, less noise while in-flight, and (using a new “Reverse Flight Kit”) the ability to fly inverted.
Other features of this drone are pretty standard for a sub-250g drone in 2025.
*These are all the specs I know as of writing. Zero Zero Robotics should be officially announcing the Falcon Mini around March 15th at which time we’ll be treated with the full list of specs and features.
Interestingly, we do know that Zero Zero Robotics plans on launching the Falcon Mini with two color options: Black and “Canary” Yellow.
I personally am not the biggest fan of the yellow color option, but it is refreshing see something other than black or grey being offered.
While Zero Zero Robotics hasn’t told us a date as to when they plan to fully announce the Falcon Mini, it is safe to say we’ll see a launch within the next couple weeks.
Given how ZZR has launched all its past drones via IndieGoGo, it is safe to say we can expect a similar crowdfunding-style launch for this drone.
The first units will begin shipping in April, so it seems they more than likely have all the drones already manufactured and are just using the crowdfunding method to offer early bird deals and build hype.
Speaking of deals, let’s talk pricing.
While the is no official price announced yet for the V-Copter Falcon Mini, I expect it to start under $500 though some kit options may get up to $700 or so.
With capabilities somewhere between that of the HOVERAir X1 ($300) and the HOVERAir X1 Pro ($500), pricing the Falcon Mini in the $350-$450 range would slot it perfectly between their other drone offerings.
However, this is just speculation, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Either way, the best prices will definitely be offered in Early Bird deals — so if you’re interested I’d head over to the Falcon Mini launch page and enter your email so you can get notified as soon as the crowdfunding campaign is live.
Thanks for reading and hope this was helpful.
